As featured in the Evening Standard, Kensington & Chelsea Council is threatening community shops and health services on King’s Road with devastating rent increases. The NHS dentist faces a 200% hike and may be forced to stop all NHS work. The GP surgery faces 150%. Other essential services – bakery, pharmacy, launderette, newsagents – face or have faced inflation-busting hikes and are worried about the future.
The council should be nurturing, not undermining, local health services and businesses. We urge them to think again.
