About Ben

I’ve been Chelsea and Fulham’s MP since July 2024. I’m a member of the Health and Social Care Committee and the EU–UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly, and I’m a trade envoy to Morocco and francophone West Africa.

Before becoming an MP, I was a Labour councillor in Fulham from 2014 and Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham council.

As Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, I led the public health response to keep residents safe during Covid and the successful campaign to Save Charing Cross Hospital alongside local residents when the Conservatives threatened to close it.

I’ve lived here for 30 years. I entered a civil partnership in 2008 at the beautiful Fulham Town Hall – since shamefully sold off by the Conservatives at a knock-down price.

I’ve worked as a business consultant and a campaigner and ran the European Business Unit at a large accounting firm, supporting SMEs to make the most of EU opportunities.

I have helped numerous charities build effective strategies and successful campaigns, including Every Disabled Child Matters and the Campaign to End Loneliness.
